Our mission is to provide safe and exciting means for seeing and experiencing the natural wonder of the Hawaiian Islands, while always aiding in the conservation and perpetuation of the islands’ unique land and culture, so they retain their body and spirit for future generations.

Our History

2002

Skyline Eco-Adventures is born.

Danny Boren returns home to Maui from months of travel in Central America, where he and his father Buck discovered the excitement of flying through the trees on a zipline adventure. Buck and Danny create Skyline Eco-Adventures the first commercial zipline company in the United States when they launch their 5-line Haleakalā Skyline Tour
2003

Skyline Goes Green.

Skyline Hawaii’s conservation efforts start on the Haleakalā line when they begin planting native Koa trees. As a company they decided to donate 10% of their profits to environmental nonprofits.
2006

Adventure Positive. Carbon Neutral.

We're certified carbon neutral through our work with carbonfund.org. We installed solar panels on our office buildings.
2007

Kaanapali Reigns.

Skyline opens the Kaanapali Skyline Adventure, an 8-line zipline tour high above Maui's world-famous Kaanapali Resort. We join 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of our revenue to environmental nonprofits, becoming the first U.S. zipline company to do so.
2008

Giving to the planet we love.

We join 1% for the Planet, donating 1% of our revenue to environmental nonprofits, becoming the first U.S. zipline company to do so.
2011

More Skyline to Love.

Skyline opens its first franchise location, Skyline Akaka Falls, an incredible 7-zipline experience on the Big Island that finishes with a heart-racing line that glides high above the 250-foot tall Kolekole Falls.
2013

Oh, hi, Skyline Kauai.

The company launches Skyline Poipu, an 8-zipline tour that lets Kauai visitors fly over multiple lush valleys just minutes from the resort area of Poipu.
2014

Zip through the trees, for the trees.

Skyline launches Zip for the Trees, an annual day of planting native trees. All proceeds from the day’s zips benefit local nonprofits for at-risk kids.

One Million and Rising.

Skyline passes $1 million dollar mark in giving to environmental, community, and health nonprofits.
2018

It’s Good to Have Goals.

We reached our goal of 8,000 native trees planted and over 2,550 tonnes of CO2 emissions offset.
2020

Balancing Purpose and Profit.

Skyline Hawai'i was certified by the non-profit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. We’ve evaluated how our practices impact our employees, our community, the environment, and our customers.
