Travel Tips Five Ways to Stay Energized

Topics:
Traveling to Hawaii usually makes for a long day no matter where you are traveling from. Everyone wants to have lots of energy when they arrive in Hawaii because there are so many exciting things to do, but staying energized and hydrated during a long flight can be challenging. We have a few tips that can help you feel refreshed and re-energized after a long day of travel.

1. Stay hydrated

The most important part of traveling is always drinking enough water. You can pack your own water bottle and refill it after going through security. This is a great budget-friendly and eco-friendly alternative to buying a bottle of water when you are at the airport. The reason it is so challenging to stay hydrated during a long flight is due to the fact that airplanes are very dry and have less oxygen in the pressurized cabin. Becuase of this, it is necessary to drink at least eight ounces of water for each hour you’re in the air.

2. Get plenty of rest before traveling

With limited cabin space these days, comfort is few and far between, making it difficult to get a good rest on flights. This is especially true for those who need extra space on a flight. Always try to rest well before you travel to keep your immune system strong when traveling in crowded airports.

3. Pack moisturizers and face mists

Lotions, chapstick, and face mists are great ways to help aid in hydration. You can pack under eye moisturizer in your carry on bag to help lessen puffiness, or rose oil facial mists to help re-energize and moisturize dry skin. Happy family with suitcases in the airport

4. Pack snacks that are full of protein to keep you full

Healthy snacks like nuts and seeds are good sources of long-lasting energy. You may want to enjoy a burger with fries but the carbohydrates will only give you a short burst of energy then make you feel lethargic and tired. What you put into your body directly affects your energy levels and brain function. On long travel days, you need to be ready for anything!

5. Pack a travel-sized toothbrush and toothpaste

Nothing feels better than a fresh mouth! Being able to brush your teeth will instantly add mental freshness to your travel day. Whether you are with your family, or meeting with friends for a getaway trip, brushing your teeth after a long flight will make you feel surprisingly better.
