Kauai

Ease into the course on Line 1’s sloping hill falling away from the take-off point.

What You’ll See: A lush mountain valley filled with Kauai’s garden-like greenery.

Ka Holua Manu: This line is named after a legend of a boy named Manu. He became famous for his masterful abilities on the Papa Holua, an ancient Hawaiian sled which was traditionally ridden down steep slopes often covered in rocks.

Fly off a steep hillside and across a different mountain valley than Line 1.

What You’ll See: A valley filled with native Hawaiian Uluhe fern—known for its vibrant green color.

Nohili: Line 2 is named after a legend of a Hawaiian man who lived on Kauai's western shore with his nine dogs ('ilio in Hawaiian). This legend tells of how Kauai's Barking Sands beach got it's name—ask your guide about it!

Jump into the air and watch the valley spread below your feet.

What You’ll See: The unmistakable light green leaves of the Kukui, Hawaii's state tree, surround you at every turn.

Alekoko: Named after the Menehune Fishpond, Line 3 is located near the Huleia National Wildlife Refuge, just outside Lihue and the Nawiliwili Harbor area. Legend tells of how this incredible fishpond was built by Menehune in a single night.

Be ready to take your zipping speed up a notch.

What You’ll See: Spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and the tail end of a ridge where two valleys meet.

Alae: The Alae bird, primarily found on Kauai, is famous throughout the Hawaiian Islands as the bird who held the secret of fire. The Demigod Maui is said to have learned to make fire from this bird and passed that knowledge down through the generations.

Fly over the tour’s third valley on the longest line so far.

What You’ll See: A new valley that opens up glimpses of the ocean. You’ll land under a towering Kauai ridgeline.

Kiki A Ola: The Hawaiian name Kiki A Ola literally means "the spouting waters of Ola,” named in honor of Waimea's high chief Ola who commissioned the construction of the Menehune Ditch many centuries ago.

Get a running start to jump from the ramp style take-off platform leading to a 200-foot drop-off.

What You’ll See: Acres of untouched Hawaiian landscape and glimpses of the Pacific Ocean.

Nounou: Nounou is a mountain found behind Kapa'a along Kauai's East shore. Legend tells of a kind, yet physically intimidating giant who fell asleep many centuries ago, forming the distinctive mountain, but who will one day reawaken.

Get ready to experience Skyline’s longest zipline on Kauai.

What You’ll See: Either side of a mountain valley will rush past you as you skim just a few dozen feet above the valley floor.

Kaikapu: Kaikapu is the name of a Mo'o, a giant lizard monster in ancient Hawaii. The Mo'o would terrorize the people of the area.  It took the quick wit and shrewd planning of a young boy to finally rid Kauai of this threat.  Skyline's guides will share how it happened on the tour

‘Walk the plank’ and drop from a sheer cliff.

What You’ll See: Other people on your zipline tour shouting for joy—of all our Kauai lines, this one gets the best screams.

Wainiha: Though not technically a legend, Wainiha is a valley on Kauai's lush North Shore that is central to many legends. Do you believe in the legends of ancient Hawaii? Wainiha Valley may give you reason to wonder.
