Zipline Launches Early Access Drone Delivery Program in Houston

The average Houston driver lost 77 hours in traffic delays last year, according to the Texas A&M Transportation Institute. Time that could’ve been spent with family, friends or watching the Texans play. 

Starting today, select Houstonians now have a new way to save time and get what they need, when they need it, with the launch of First Flight, Zipline’s early access program for drone delivery. Zipline is an autonomous drone delivery service that brings food, retail, and essentials directly to your home in minutes. 

First Flight is limited to the first 5,000 eligible Houstonians. Members will get exclusive access to Zipline delivery of groceries, fresh meals, and thousands of retail items. As a thank you for helping shape the service in the early days, these members will also receive: 

  • $10 off orders for the first three orders

  • No service or delivery fees

  • A chance to get official Zipline swag 

  • Access to special Zipline perks, including facility tours

First Flight will begin in Houston’s Cypress neighborhood and expand to more neighborhoods in the coming weeks. To sign up, download the Zipline app from the App Store or Google Play stores and create an account.
