Partner of the Month Hawaiian Canoe Club

Topics: , , ,
Hawaiian Canoe Club is our Partner of the Month for the month of December! Based in Kahului Harbor in Maui and founded in 1960, the Hawaiian Canoe Club is an organization focused on cultural programs and the perpetuation of Hawaiian values with a commitment to provide a variety of cultural opportunities through paddling to the people of Maui.  Their mission is “to perpetuate and preserve the art of Hawaiian canoe paddling by providing an environment rooted in traditional Hawaiian values that promote personal growth, character development, and achievement in physical fitness.” With recreational and educational keiki programs, children learn important skills and lokahi or “working together as one”. Keiki programs even include paddling trips to the islands of Kaho’olawe, Lana’i, and Moloka’i! These programs provide our youngest generations the opportunity to learn not only respect for Hawaiian culture but also their community and themselves. hawaiian canoe club logo Hosting Outrigger Canoe Regattas, providing scholarships, health and fitness classes, as well as Hawaiian Culture programs, and encouraging our younger generations, the Hawaiian Canoe Club is an important part of our Maui community. This December, Skyline Eco-adventures is proud to support their efforts and their work at preserving Hawaiian culture.
